FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Here are the questions we receive most
frequently from driver candidates:
- How often will I be home?
Because Buske is a family-oriented company, we strive to give you as much
family time as possible. In fact, 75% of our drivers are home every
weekend. If you are on the road for two weeks, our policy is to give you
two days off.
- Do you have any dedicated runs available?
The best way to qualify for a dedicated run, which offers the advantage
of a consistent schedule, is to be employed as a Buske driver when those
runs become available.
- Do I have to enter Canada and make runs in Canada?
Every driver employed by Buske Lines has to be able to enter Canada with no restrictions.
- What areas of the U.S. does Buske serve?
Primarily, Buske serves the upper Midwest
region. We do deliver coast to coast and to New York City as well.
- What kind of truck would I be driving?
The power units available at Buske range from a Volvo, Freightliner,
Peterbilt and Kenworth.
Determination as to what type of unit you may be assigned is
dependent upon what is available at the time of hire, as well as years of
experience, work history, any accident history and a clean MVR.
- How long is orientation and where must I go to
attend orientation?
Orientation is two days long,
that does not include travel time.
We conduct orientation at our Edwardsville Illinois Corporate
Headquarters. Orientation is
conducted every Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday will be a travel day to Edwardsville, IL.
- What do I need to bring with me when I come to
orientation?
You need to bring your
social security card, drivers license, copy of your long form physical
(if available)/medical card/copy of birth certificate. You will also need to bring enough
clothing with you to last a week.
After you successfully complete orientation we start routing you
towards home within your first two to three loads to you may get the rest
of your personal belongings to put into your unit.
